Let me on behalf of Crocus Group welcome you at the International exhibition and forum ECOTECH. It is a great honor for us to be co-organizers of the event and to host in Crocus Expo such a significant and large-scale event of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation which is held in our country for the first time.

The President of the Russian Federation has defined in 2012 the development vector of the state policy of the country in the field of ecology for the period till 2030. A number of new legislative measures taken in 2014 became the starting point for the beginning of gradual transition of branches to eco-friendly production.

Small business supporting policy of the state in the field of greening of economy, perspective innovative developments which lack resources for introduction, an opportunity to receive additional financing within unique competitions Start ECOTECH 2016 and EcoTech are in the focus of the project.

Vladimir Putin declared 2017 in his decree the Year of Ecology. The International exhibition and forum ECOTECH 2016 is the national start of the Year of Ecology projects, vivid demonstration of ecological responsibility of companies and initiatives which can receive state support, time for additional opportunities and incentives for transition to more effective model of management.

I am confident that the International exhibition and forum ECOTECH will become the annual strategically important event for economy of Russia and professional audience and will promote further following the course set by the state policy.

Dear colleagues!
Let me congratulate you with the opening of the exhibition and forum!

Today we are participants of grandiose changes which take place in the sphere of ecological safety ensuring. Legislation has determined the period of a phased transition to essentially new mechanisms of regulation based on the principles of the best available technologies (BAT). The changes have effect on the real sector of economy; the measure of ecological responsibility is conditioned by the extent of negative impact on environment since January 1, 2019. Zero rates of payment for negative impact will be applied to objects using BAT. I am confident that responsible business has started already today taking into account this mechanism when making average and long-term business plans.

I do hope that the forum will provide all participants with an opportunity not only to see new technologies but to share also their unique knowledge. An opportunity to make contribution to the solution of the most difficult task of ensuring a balance between the increasing technogenic load on the environment and ecological safety is also an opportunity to change our world, to make it slightly better and purer.
